You are warmly invited join us for an informative and educational forum on effective techniques for working with clients who have AOD and Mental Health issues, brought to you by Odyssey House NSW, Campbelltown Community Services.

Psychologist, Stephanie Penny has 15 years’ clinical experience in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and trauma fields, working alongside the judicial system and within crisis and child protection services. Stephanie has presented training on a range of Mental Health (MH) topics and is passionate about bridging the gap between the AOD and MH sectors.

The forum will cover the following topics:

  • The nature of AOD use, MH issues and the interaction between them;
  • Myths and stigma surrounding AOD use and MH issues;
  • Options for treating co-occurring AOD and MH issues; and
  • Tips for responding to AOD and MH relapse.
