Alcohol and other drug counselling and support for First Nations people

Mingu Yabun is our specialised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alcohol and other drug program combining traditional healing programs with western alcohol and other drug treatment models.

Mingu Yabun, which means spiritually speaking and sharing in D’harawal, is offered in our Community and Residential programs.

Odyssey promotes self-determination and access to cultural healing methods for treating wellbeing, mental health and alcohol and other drug use.

This program incorporates Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and encourages participants to speak about their own experiences and what morals, values, lores and lessons they can take towards their own recovery.
