The 2021 annual Business Women’s Lunch presented by Odyssey House NSW is now in its 11th year.
The event brings together a panel of highly accomplished businesswomen to share their personal journey of success, leadership, and resilience.
This year’s panellists include Senator the Hon Marise Payne (Minister Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women) and Alexis George (newly appointed AMP Chief Executive). The aim is for the attendees of this event to discover and learn from real life experiences with practical tips and advice for their own personal journey. In addition, we will hear from an Odyssey House graduate about turning their life around as a result of our programs.
This program helps parents develop the skills to set up and manage a safe and healthy family home. Parents receive treatment as well as guidance from family support workers, and children receive special paediatric support to mitigate harms and break the cycle of generational drug and alcohol misuse.
The impacts of alcohol and other drug misuse are related but not limited to healthcare, pain and suffering, loss of life, and reduced quality of family life to name a few. In 2019-20 we provided direct services to 149 parents through Odyssey’s Reconnecting Families programs, however there is large unmet demand for residential rehabilitation.
We do hope you will be involved in this inspiring event in 2021 as we need your support to help make a positive step forward to improve the lives of families and children in need.
