Carmel Tebbutt, Chief Executive Officer

Carmel commenced as CEO Odyssey House NSW in July 2023, and brings a wealth of knowledge to Odyssey through her significant contributions in the mental health not-for-profit sector as a former CEO of the Mental Health Coordinating Council and Director at Mental Health Australia. Carmel was the first female Deputy Premier in NSW and is well-known for her 17-year long Parliamentary career, holding a number of ministerial portfolios including health, education and community services. Carmel is passionate about Odyssey’s mission to reconnect lives, families and communities and is keen on utilising her skills and experience to help Odyssey grow even further.

David Kelly, Executive Director, Programs

David has worked in the Alcohol and Other Drug and associated sectors for almost 20 years, including working in Therapeutic Communities, Residential Rehabilitation programs, and Day and Community based programs. David has also worked within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and has held senior leadership and Board roles across Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, Housing and Homelessness, Out Of Home Care and a range of other program areas. David holds graduate and post-graduate qualifications in Psychology, Social Health, Addiction Studies and Management and Business Administration, including an MBA. David is passionately committed to supporting those who are experiencing marginalisation and disadvantage in a holistic way and to improving organisation’s capacity to work with them.

Sandy Schofield, Executive Director, Development and Engagement

Being involved with Odyssey since 2002, Sandy is a highly respected team member with over twenty-five years’ experience working in and managing fundraising and marketing teams. With experience in key areas including: Strategy and Brand; Donor management; Stakeholder engagement; Event management, and Community fundraising.

Rajiv Anand, Executive Director, Finance and Commercial Services and Company Secretary - Odyssey House NSW

Rajiv Anand, Executive Director, Finance and Commercial Services and Company Secretary

Rajiv Anand has recently joined the Executive team as Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services. Rajiv brings a wealth of experience to Odyssey, having most recently been the Executive Director Corporate Services at the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network. Rajiv is passionate about creating the best possible environment for our frontline staff to deliver services to our clients.

Catherine Macgonigal, Executive Director and College Principal

Cath joined Odyssey College having most recently worked in the UK. She spent seven very happy and highly successful years as a Head of School in London and has now returned home to Australia to seek new and exciting challenges.

Cath has a strong background as both an Educator and a Head of School and has driven improvements and creative curriculum choices for all the communities she has served and supported both in the UK and Australia. She has a significantly strong focus around welfare and special populations. In her previous role, not only was she the Head of a School with all its responsibilities, she led a major capital works project and took on a revamp of a new school curriculum – and all of this during COVID-19 in the UK.

Cath has the experience, skillset, passion, and energy to make her ideal for the College. Her diverse skills and desire to help others could not be better placed than with Odyssey.
