Counselling Services
Odyssey House offers counselling services for people with alcohol and other drugs or gambling problems who do not need residential care. Counselling Services are ideal for people who are in need of social support and specific skills training to cope with the stresses of everyday life, without the misuse of alcohol and other drugs or engagement in problematic gambling behaviours. The basis of counselling is to help each person understand the underlying reasons for their use of alcohol and other drugs, or gambling and at the same time build up their coping skills and self-esteem as a barrier to any further problematic behaviour.
The service is available to people with heavy, problematic or minimal dependency who do not require residential care. Clients need to be employed, seeking employment or involved in educational or vocational training and have ties to the community through stable accommodation and social support.
